Madison Hip-Hop Awards
The Madison Hip-Hop Awards (MHHA) were founded in May of 2010 based on an idea by Mark “ShaH” Evans and Dexter “Tefman” Patterson as a response to the need to bring positive attention to Madison’s talented and dedicated Hip-Hop scene. On the one hand, MHHA provides a great space in which artists from the community can be honored for their hard work and artistry; on the other, the MHHA is a great opportunity to connect generations and work towards the common goal of fundraising for a local community charity.
The Madison Hip-Hop Awards ceremony is a not-for-profit event and all proceeds go to local non-profits, including the East Madison Community Center’s breakdancing program.
